Endurance athletes of all types are notorious for a few things: having a relatively weak posterior chain (glutes and hamstrings), being afraid of giving up endurance training time in favor of strength training, being prone to over-use injuries, and being afraid of getting hurt doing strength training. We know, we've been there! That is why we have developed this 12 week off-season strength training program specifically geared towards endurance athletes.
In this program, we offer 2 main phases of programming. The first 8 weeks are about learning the proper movement patterns of the exercises for the muscles you need to strengthen most. These 8 weeks will progressively get harder, so you get stronger. Once you know how to do these movements properly, we will transition the last 4 weeks into race specific movements. The intention of these last 4 weeks is to show you the proper strength training you should be doing during your race season. Carrying strength training throughout your race season will help you be more resilient and less prone to injuries.
Since we know you will have questions about what to expect during these 12 weeks and beyond, we are offering 3 FREE recorded webinars to help you with questions like: why specific movements are so important, how to eat to support your strength training, and how to carry strength strength training through your season. You will also receive a PDF of all the workouts so if you have to miss a session, you still get the programming!
Classes are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from either 6-7am or 6-7pm starting January 6, 2020. Classes are held at Crossfit Gold Rush (1020 Whispering Pines Lane, Ste E, Grass Valley, CA). Class space will be limited to 10 athletes per class so everyone can expect coaching during every session.
All of this is available for a one-time investment of $450 (that is just $12.50 per session + 3 FREE webinars). For those athletes who prefer to pay monthly, a payment option will be available for $160 per month, which will be automatically charged to a credit card at the first of each month.
